Why was Your Dog's Treats started?

There are 2 reasons: Sunni and Scout. Sunni was a 6-year-old Golden Retriever when I adopted her from Tony LaRussa’s Animal Rescue Foundation. A year later, a friend found a female German Shepard mix, could not find the owner, and suggested she’d be a good companion for Sunni. Both of these beautiful, intelligent, loving dogs came into my life when I really needed them. We did and went almost everywhere together and I loved them dearly.

I lost Scout to cancer one December, then Sunni to the same disease 4 months later. I vowed from then on to give my dogs the best care possible. After all, I still had Roper, a young beagle mix I’d found wandering the streets a year earlier. Not much later, Coffee was added to the household.

When the contaminated dog food problems came up, my vow evolved into a desire to find high quality, human grade, natural or organic foods and treats to give to Roper and Coffee. My search expanded into a desire to provide this to others as well. And so YourDogsTreats.com was born.
